HERE'S MY STORY
I was always fascinated with the internet, and it's endless amount of information. Sure, 12 years ago there was a Yellowpages for the internet, and the information was displayed in terrible formats, but it was AMAZING!
I just didn't start out as a web-designer-to-be. I wanted to be a writer. Then I met videogames, those
devilish works of genius. So I taught myself C++.
It was a rough road, but if I had a working game as a
demo reel, I could totally get into college without much work!So I developed a little game blatantly ripping off some of the greats. Imitation IS the greatest form of flattery yes? If not, imitating and replicating sure makes you push hard to be accurate. I feel I got pretty close, but I wanted to show people my games, so I needed a web site! Frontpage was there, sitting and staring at me like a stack of money with googly eyes and I jumped in.
It began ugly, with frames and image maps and tables. Years came and went and I slowly began to fall in love with this method of creativity. Methods and standards changed and CSS came in the picture.
Thank god.
The web was on its way to being beautiful. Then there was the whole thing with people actually PAYING for this stuff. And here we are now, with the web emerging as the future of all creativity, the epicenter of media and intelligence. The future looks great, pixel perfect, and very very attractive.
