Myspace - Band Pages!

By Eric Gibson on 2007-08-12

Check this out... There are so many resources for a band to get a great myspace page, but to find a really good custom layout for a local artist to really break out of the mode is absolutely insanely hard to do.

Of course there is the Bandspaces website, where they provide professional myspace layout solutions for people, companies, and bands, but their code is proprietary (unless you view source) and littered with copyright notices.

But anyhow, I was able to start up my own myspace band page testing ground, and found it absolutely horrid to try to code. Alas, I finally figured it out, and I think it is a lot easier to use now than I had thought originally.

Playing with MySpace

By Eric Gibson on 2007-07-27

Skyline Design Studios has unleashed its own MySpace page layout, in an effort to help understand myspace pages and a way to make them more beautiful.

There are plenty of ways to obtain a custom layout online, but to create a really fancy custom layout you have to dig in deep. Please enjoy our myspace layout.

The Need For Seperate Stylesheets

By Eric Gibson on 2007-07-10

I am sure that this page looks absolutely terribly on IE6 and earlier. I use .PNG extensively for image transparency because I believe the future of transparent graphics is .PNG, and has been the future for transparent graphics for the past 3 or 4 years.

I know for a fact that this web page, and all the others I am working on or have played with in the past look good on all the big hitters, and Opera. IE7, Netscape, Firefox... But I have yet to test on a lower browser. So, as a promise to those with older browsers, I will shortly be implementing separate style sheets for older browsers. Sorry for the inconvenience.
